I was born and raised in a small village outside Cappadocia, where my grandfather spent his evenings telling stories about the Ottoman families who once lived in our stone house. That early world shaped everything. After studying history and cultural tourism in Ankara, I returned to rural Anatolia to do what no textbook could — walk visitors through communities that are still living these traditions. For the past eleven years, I have been guiding small groups through village lanes, introducing them to families, craftspeople, and landscapes most travellers never find. This walk is not a performance of the past. It is the past, still breathing.

Absolutely. Your guide contextualises everything as you go, from the architectural details of village homes to the agricultural traditions still practised today. No prior knowledge is needed.

The route involves moderate walking on uneven surfaces and is not suitable for wheelchairs or those with significant mobility limitations. Guests who walk comfortably for 4 to 5 km at a relaxed pace will manage well.

Comfortable walking shoes, light sun protection, and a small daypack. Water is provided but you are welcome to bring more. Dress modestly out of respect for the village communities you'll be visiting.
